Wildcraft Leaf & Root was born out of my own desire to find support and balance for my own struggle with an autoimmune disease. After experiencing repeated disappointing doctor’s appointments and an overall lack of knowledge within western medicine for my condition, I turned to traditional medicine. I have always been an advocate for a blend of new and old, enhancing and supporting medical treatment with nature is no different.

The herbs utilized in products from Wildcraft Leaf & Root are sourced from sustainable and certified organic sources. Teas, tinctures, and glycerites are manufactured in an organic certified kitchen utilizing oGMP by a local certified organic farm. Bath and body product ingredients are carefully selected to ensure high purity and gentle enough to nurture sensitive and irritated skin. Products that contain preservatives utilize certified organic preservatives that are based on natural ingredients.

At the end of 2022, I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), also known as Myalgic Encephalitis (ME) in Europe. My Drs didn’t know much about it and I couldn’t find a specialist in my area. Turns out there are only a small number of ME/CFS clinics in the United States and several are not utilizing the latest CDC guidelines. I was not given any information on how to manage my disease and basically was required to become my own medical expert.

I bought books, read articles, read studies, and joined support groups to find out how other people are managing their health. ME/CFS overlaps in symptoms with Fibromyalgia and certain types of Long Covid, basically fatigue that does not improved with sleep, body wide pain, and exercise intolerance.

I converted an isolated part of my house into my own personal herbal laboratory, signed up for online herbal courses through Herbal Academy, and began my journey. I am exceptionally lucky to have an amazing organic herb farm less than 1 mile from my home that is run by herbalists that provides me a local herbal playground.
